How to Storage Your Prom Dress
wrinkle
When you bring your clothes home, make sure they are allowed to breathe. Make sure there is no friction on the clothes to avoid wrinkling. If your clothes do wrinkle, then you need to make sure that wrinkles are eliminated before the prom. Most prom stores offer you a final cooking service the day before; if not, call your local dry cleaner to see how much it costs to squeeze your clothes. Another great trick that can save you money is to put your clothes on a hanger and hang them on the back of the bathroom door. Open the shower at the hottest temperature, close the bathroom door, and let it steam for about 15 minutes. Wrinkles will disappear.
storage
After getting dressed, dry clean before storing. Stain may occur (even if it seems invisible) that will eventually stain your clothes. The longer you wait to fix the stain, the more time you have to soak and damage your clothes. Find cleaners specifically for dresses and robes!
Tip: If you decide to use a spray tan, spray it a day or two ago so that it can be washed before entering the work clothes to ensure less residue. Also, pack the Tide sticks in the Prom Clutch because they do work wonders and you can fix the stains on the spot.
After dry cleaning, store your clothes in a cool, dry place. Do not store them in a humid or hot place (as this may deteriorate or discolor the clothes). Also, try not to store your clothes in a place where there is plenty of natural light, because over time, the clothes will seriously fade. Make sure to remove the dress from storage from time to time to dry and make sure it is not damaged. The top level of the closet is an excellent storage space. Lay the clothes flat in a sealed box or clothes bag. Avoid places are the attic, basement and storeroom.
Stains
Stains are the worst! Treat your stains as soon as possible.
First, identify your stains and fabrics!
Make-up → Wet the stain with a warm towel, then gently press the color-safe bleach or liquid detergent into the stain. Wash your clothes in warm water and hang them to dry.
Grass / Outdoor → Wipe the fabric with alcohol, then remove residual stains with chlorine bleach (ensure color safety). Grease → Wash the clothes with warm water, place the stains on a paper towel, and then wipe dry with a liquid pre-treatment spray. After this is done, rinse with warm water and hang to dry.
Sweating → Use a damp soap on the stained area, then apply liquid detergent to the stain and wash.
After all, if your stain is really serious, we recommend that you bring clothing to a professional. Just clean it, it won't hurt your pockets much, and it will ensure the life of your clothes.
